In the last 24 hours Amazon made a change so that downloading a new book to the iOS kindle app causes the app to shutdown. Once a new book is downloaded the app will spontaneously shutdown after about 30 seconds. Currently there’s no fix.

Definitely a bug. Deregistering the device resolves the issue. Discussed on reddit and apple forums.

This doesn’t reproduce for me. Also, it sounds more like a bug than a “disabling.”
