For node version management, I highly recommend Volta (not affiliated) - https://volta.sh

but why would you prefer a nvm like alternative when you could have a single tool manage most of your SDKs/runtime needs?

I think rtx nails the developer experience with managing runtime versions and you likely have not heard of it yet.

unfortunate naming, collides with nvidia rtx.
