Ask HN: Is ChatGPT plus worth paying for?

Depends on your personal needs. Performance wise (if you only use text) I wouldn't be willing to pay for it.

For me, the pro version was useful to: - analyze data - make meaning of IRL stuff when in a different country – walk & talk (but now that's available for free too)

As a friend used to say about a service for which he paid $60/yr, I get way more than $60 worth of use out of this thing. If you're going to use it regularly, or frequently, and you get benefits from it then it's definitely worth paying for ChatGPT Plus (or anything else).
