Not that extreme, I'm in a similar boat because it's the only vehicle my family owns. Needs to be a jack of all trades + I like offroading and road trips.
I say this as an EV nerd: there's no EVs that are there yet. Well, that's not true, the best EVs are! Ebikes!
Hauling filthy stuff doesn't work in a Model X, and it can't offroad on sand. I honestly do need a pickup - half the time I use the thing, I'm towing, hauling, or offroading.
Ironically this is because I bike everywhere I'm not driving.
