I wonder if this could be used for crime scene investigation. Photos/video from the location could be made into a virtual scene for later inspection from any angle. Would a witness have been able to see a certain spot from some location for example.
The technique is interesting because it would work with any old set of photographs as long as you have enough of them. This technology makes it a lot more fast and practical to do than any previous methods it seems.
