Ask HN: “companion”/“assistant” like GPT apps?

Wondering if anyone has come across any decent companion AI apps? Either for learning like a "young lady's illustrated primer", or a Jervis like assistant that keeps track of what your up to.

I use chatGPT and others a little bit, it gets frustrating to work on prompts all the time. It would be good to have an app which remembers context of previous discussions and talks in a sensible way.

I briefly looked around today, but most of them were just thin wrappers on chatGPT.
