I live in Toronto, and I find it weird that people have too-often acted in surprise to find out I don't own a car. Considering everything is in walking distance, or fairly quick transit ride away, why on Earth would I bother paying for parking both at home and at work, sky high insurance, sky high gas, plus maintenance and all the rest of that jazz.
One is convenient. The other is a total and recurring pain.
Besides, I could rent a car any time I wanted, yet I only have one time in my life.
