Google zx: A tool for writing better scripts (opens in new tab)

I have infinitely more confidence in my ability to write correct JavaScript

what we want is to write our bash scripts in not-bash. if your preferred flavour of not-bash is javascript zx will help.

Because BASH’s string splitting rules, concurrency tools, and variable scoping are nightmarish.

I’ve written build scripts in BASH, Python, and JavaScript and can definitely say BASH scripts produced the most difficult bugs.

I welcome another option for my glue code.
