Fair question. We're not quite ready to go into full open beta yet, but we also don't want to keep teasing folks who have been on the waitlist for over a year and are eager to see our progress.
We want to provide high-quality support to our users, but we don't yet have the resources to provide that support _and_ make rapid progress on developing new features. Opening up temporarily like this gives us time to see our current feature set in the hands of interested architects (and hobbyists!), get feedback and direction from them, but then get back to heads-down development after the preview is over.
