If your society is in full war against Europe and you only spend 5% of your GDP something doesn't add up.
Also, IMO it's not really that Europeans are not convinced that Russia is a threat, but rather that the messaging of European leaders is basically " we have 10 big problems we need to solve , we will work on them all at once " and obviously it all comes out wrong cos it's all half assed. We need to beat inflation and all massively update our armies and we need to decouple from China and we need to be climate neutral by 2050 and solve the gender gap and protect our democracy from the far right and etc.
Like the amount of issues that for example the Ampel(Germany) or Macron(France) have to face at the same time is multiples that of Lithuania.
Its almost like the numbers arent real or something, like maybe russians are lying? might be worth considering.
With just one move (Ukraine nationalist stooges), Europe is messed up for the next 20 years.
If you think Europe is the one coming out worse for wear in this situation then you do not live in reality.
