I'd love to see a mobile gpu added. Once that's available, I'd definitely buy one

Historically, we needed to source separate “OEM” modules from Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron for use in our factory, and “Retail” modules from Crucial to offer in DIY Edition and the Marketplace. Instead, we worked with memory maker ADATA to create custom-label modules that we can use across all areas. Currently, we’re leveraging SK Hynix DDR5-5600 memory chips for these modules, but may use other chips that meet the performance bar in the future as well.

I wish that Framework would respond officially as to whether or not they will support ECC on the AMD boards. I make it a point to buy AMD processors and AMD motherboards that support ECC. I've seen the bitflips (not often), I know they happend, and I appreciate the added security, especially given how little of a cost difference (about 12% in terms of BOM for just the ram, or 1-2% of the whole system cost)

I like what framework is doing but boy is the 16” an ugly piece of hardware. The other one is beautiful, what happened?

I've been really impressed so far by everything I've read about the Framework 16, but not as much by this post.

The two different sized NVMe slots are disappointing, and limit how you can realistically combine them.

I presume if you put a Dual M.2 SSD Holder Module in your Expansion Bay Shell it precludes use of a powerhouse GPU.

Socketed memory and storage, but no socketed CPU? DOn't Thinkpads also have socketed memory and storage?
