There is no right or wrong here. You have an expectation for feedback, that is true and fair, and they have no obligation to give it to you. Would it be nice? Sure, in your eyes, probably not worth it in theirs. Is either of you in the wrong, no. Managing expectations is always advisable.
If you go on a date with someone and they decide not to go out on another date with you, they have zero obligation to tell you why they won't be doing the second date. As nice as it would be for you to know why.
