Yep, but I think that little bit of functionality alone is enough to be given its own separate shortcut that doesn't summon UI or switch to some other window if accidentally held a bit too long.

Alt tab mac switcher app allows you to set the delay, so you can set it high and only use for invisible app switching (apparition delay)

it's still not prefect as it's not forced to consider only two windows (that would require a separate hack)
