This is a great book. Readable, and ties together philosophy or spiritual beliefs, and neuroscience.

I agree. I also really enjoyed “Uncle Tungsten,” an autobiography of Sacks’ youth and his early introduction to science.

Uncle Tungsten is a fantastic book about youthful discovery, science and self.
Dr. Oliver Sacks is a fantastic writer with a bit of his own adversities.

"Awakenings is a 1990 American drama film directed by Penny Marshall. It is written by Steven Zaillian, who based his screenplay on Oliver Sacks's 1973 memoir Awakenings."
