Oh, how easily Elon Musk was radicalized.
I disagree, but I’m open to the argument. Musk qua Twitter CEO seems comfortable pushing policies that highlight white supremacists. The Atlantic, a centre-right rag, makes a good case here [1].
His roles at Tesla and SpaceX are more complicated. But someone only bring a right-wing reactionary sometimes is far from exoneration.

More importantly, I worry for us Americans. Institutional competency is at a WWII low. And that tends to attract outsized talking morons to fill the void. We don't need more trash talking and gossip mongering.
Culture wars have not done much good for the US. Both the left and right have done their fair share of making it worse. Identity politics --- the need to bring personal issues into public spaces and always be selling is also needy, cloying, and obnoxious.
A small anecdote: after the Kentucky Derby, the Kentucky governor plugged his state, and the winner-jockey gave thanks to his faith as the lead off remarks. Why? I am belatedly understanding why people are getting turned off with sports. Keep the soap box, proselytizing out.
