I think you'll be waiting a while. As long as there are two very loud camps, one saying this thing is useless, and the other saying this completely revolutionizes (with an much quieter "eh it's pretty good but not civilization changing" moderate group), there's gonna be disagreement.
What will a selflearning ghost in the machine not do? Who or what will it serve? How will it reason? That is all unknown. AI will have an influence if it chooses to. With all AV and web connections What will it do?
North American Indians wouldn't take a decision if it would negatively affect 7 generations down the line. Here it seems there is zero control. What about that?
