What does "fielded" mean?

I've only heard it used in reference to questions but I think it's being stretched slightly here to just mean "dealt with" or "handled".

Likely a typo. "fielded" -> "filed"

"Successfully filed" means nothing though. Anyone can file anything. The question is whether the case was won.
