Funnily your comment made me wonder who owns "ai.com" - So I tried it out, and got redirected to "https://chat.openai.com/".

ai.com's domain registration doesn't seem to be owned by OpenAI. And, ironically, ai.com's registrar (not registrant) is Google LLC.

They're probably renting it from the original owner.
