I was listening to a recent episode[0] of James Altucher regarding the economy and I find myself agreeing with him. The layoffs are much less about a bad economy and more so to correct over-hiring and bad apples.
Of course noone is going to come out and say it like that. And I'm sure some companies are doing the layoffs wrong too and getting rid of some of the good bunch.
