I found a VAX 11/70, dumb terminals, associated cables and hardware in large dumpster at the Rochester Institute of Technology. It was around 1992, but possibly a year or two earlier.

This was before e-waste recycling was popular.

I didn’t take it.

My own college still had an VAX 11/70.

Wow amazing, I think the best thing I ever got was a "broken" apple cinema display that just needed the thunderbolt cable replaced

I imagine that would've been tricky to get out of the dumpster?
