Scala is barely hanging on. They went too far with FP and language research features that it alienated a ton of users.

I don’t know, it is still way bigger than many commonly mentioned language on HN. Also, Scala 3 is a really great revamp, plus most of the community actually prefers pragmatic FP a la Li Haoyi.
