Not that weird, it's just weird to recommend it after you've seen it almost kill you. I doubt he's put in the requisite time/miles/effort/observation/whatever to know that it does great on the highway but not elsewhere.

I definitely agree, in which case I wouldn't find myself endorsing it for any use. Just because I drove X amount of miles without a problem on the highway doesn't mean it's any less likely to drive into a solid object, why would he recommend it?

I dunno man, according to another poster, I think FSD would probably give itself a safe driver rating of at least 85 for that.
