netflix seems to be becoming the blockbuster of streaming services. I'm sure they have data showing profits despite expected attrition, but how likely are people to come back in the future once they've gotten in the habit of torrenting their shows?
also, people talk and i'm sure the people torrenting will be willing to share those that are paying for the service. when the next frustration arises (like not being able to download an episode before a flight because you have too many devices), people are going to leave.
really feels like netflix is in a death spiral of sorts.
