Jay Miner wanted to have memory protection? That's... both crazy and amazing. Of course, sadly it wasn't feasible.

The original idea for the Amiga was to be a UNIX like media workstation, similar to what NeXTSTEP came to be, which they had to pivot given the constraints and politics it was born on,
