It's come to my attention that there are several vendors on Amazon who are selling clay and chalk products 'for eating'. These products are targeting people who have pica/geophagy, the urge to eat earth.
Amazon is marketing a number of 'edible' clay and chalk products to folks who engage in geophagia, or eating earth. These products are not cleared for human consumption and are usually high in lead, cadmium, arsenic, barium and other heavy metals.
