These predictions are so removed from logic and proportion that they sound exactly like some sort of code phrase (with Musk thrown in to get media traction?) — either as a text-carrier "numbers" variant, or to activate sleeper cells?

Reuters article conveniently left out the intro to those predictions:

Aha, he's mocking the entire "ruble will collapse, Novosibirsk will secede, Ukrainian Special Forces will mistakenly capture Kremlin instead of Crimea" birdseed genre. That makes much more sense.

I think Musk may have taken him seriously tho?

The Russians are notorious for black humor and taking the piss.

Of course you could trust Reuters and others to take it all seriously. That only only makes them and others in the MSM look even more stupid than they are.
