I don’t see how this is making products like Sun IDM, Oracle Waveset, or SailPoint IdentityIQ any more modern. Or replacing any of the capabilities. While it is true that many of these platforms do consume tabular batch data, that is not the only way they consume data. I just interviewed an engineer that had workday publishing new workers to a kafka topic that was then triggering a lambda function to add the new user to SailPoint and do their birthright provisioning.
