While not sexy this technology could help deal with the fact that it is unrealistic for us to be able to convert all ICE cars to EVs in time.

In terms of converting ICE, I expect most will be converted to ethanol. In terms of diesel, very little change needed to enable biodiesel.

Then everything new will be EV.

The damage to society's wealth is going to be low.

Might be useful for tractors and heavy offroad and construction equipment.

No use at all for cars.
