Hi, does anyone know why modules like the ones in modula-2 didn't get added to newer languages like c++? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modula-2

Golang's packages are inspired by Oberon (and, in turn, Modula-2). One of the core developers of Go, Robert Griesemer, was a PhD student of Hanspeter Mössenböck and Niklaus Wirth.
