I am confused as to why the media immediately trashed these people instead of analyzing why their side lost. That would seem like a much better use of their platform.

These people are crazy. A Right wing woman who is also a mom is the best of both worlds.

That is personal responsibility domestically, no-nonsense of any kind plus avoiding getting screwed in Brussels without any cult of personality and war waging.

If someone opposes cults of personality and war mongering, then "she's a great mom" is a weak argument in favor of Meloni. It is largely because of those two evils that the Italian far-right has been unpopular for the past 75+ years.

So you agree that italy is different and hence a far right woman is not that big of a threat as external observer think she is.

And it would be the same if it was a guy, but Melone being a woman and a mom is an extra form of protection against cult of personality and war
