Finally producing 4 yr old tech ... not exactly leaving anyone in the dust.6-12 months ago, the Chinese were estimated to be about 7-10 years behind in semiconductors.
In that short time they've caught up roughly about 5 years. Thinking they can't catch up completely, if not actually pulling out in front is pure hubris.
That's what killed most of the US's industries that are now not able at all to compete with the Chinese ones.
