There is skill in being concise, and the OA sadly lacks it. The piece wraps a lot of weak verbiage around the core idea, "Understanding isn’t a prerequisite for acceptance", which is good, though pretty basic. We all have different paths through life. Perhaps the piece spoke to you, and I'm sorry if my first reaction was hurtful in its curtness.
