In my amateur opinion that's not a good control, most people don't spend their free time looking for pictures of money or pictures of skydiving. Giving them money would be a better control.
[edit] thinking about it, the issue is really that you can't do anything with a picture of money or a picture of an ice cream cone. Porn, on the other hand, is utilitarian. (pun intended)
