That makes no sense, especially because on of them was on paternity leave and is probably not involved in getting some numbers from the database.

The guy had 5 years to get the numbers right, but didn't. (if that's the cause)

You don't think a high level exec is on the hook to pull a few numbers during their paternity leave to help seal a multi billion dollar deal?

Its more about the process of how that number was derived.
