Any software engineering job can have reasonable hours if you pace yourself and set boundaries

In the UK many companies' full time hours are 36-37.5 instead of 40 (still 5 days a week). I know that's not really what you're asking for, just wanted to point out that 40 and above isn't the norm everywhere.
