NY Times says Wordle drove “tens of millions” of new users, record growth (opens in new tab)

Sounds like buying Wordle was one of those situations where the buyer had a much greater ability to monetize the product than the seller did, making it a good deal for both.

So we can blame Wordle for saving the NYT? ;)

Wordle, Quordle, and Wafflegame.net are the only games I play now. I didn't go to nytimes.com for anything prior to this. Good buy on their part.
