Are you playing it on steam? Stuff works pretty well overall for me with it and Proton, some games work better with Proton GE, which is easy to install, for non steam stuff I've been using Lutris

I usually check protondb if I have any issues with a game, it seems some launch options can help with cyberpunk: https://www.protondb.com/app/1091500

No, mostly I'm making it hard for myself.

I bought it off GOG, and was trying to run the windows copy from a mounted NTFS volume but no amount of fiddling, flags, versions of stuff seems to allow it to start.

I figure if I installed it locally it might work better. Will look at the ProtonDB entry I didn't think of doing that.
