Effects of partisan media on viewers’ beliefs and attitudes on Fox News viewers (opens in new tab)

- Was the negative information concealed by Fox news true or false? (The data was collected pre-2020 and could be reviewed for the outcomes, it's possible Fox concealed some news that was false)

- Did CNN conceal positive information that was true? (I searched the report for 'conceal' and did not find reference to whether or not CNN concealed positive information.)

Otherwise, it seems self-evident that a partisan media outlet with biased topic selection will lead to biased viewers if those viewers do not also source information from differently-biased outlets.

Seems the only defense is to source from multiple biases, cross-reference, and for topics that matter to you, dig for your own data from high-integrity sources.

To understand impacts of partisan media on beliefs & attitudes, we paid regular Fox News viewers to watch CNN instead for ~7 hrs/week for a month. Our results should worry you ...but first, why do this? We have a lot of evidence partisan media effects vote choice (see, e.g., @gregmartinphd's work). But we actually know little about why this might happen. What changes viewers' beliefs, attitudes, or priorities might accompany these shifts in votes?
