This page is an example of what it denounces.

The article acknowledges that, but to say they denounce anything is a bit of an exaggeration: they question engagement shibboleths, rather, pointing out how the tactics feel necessary to producers but repulsive to consumers.

With the big "villain" graphic at the top somebody visiting on a phone or tablet might be excused for thinking there is no content there.
