Router manufacturers who dont force firmware updates being held liable for DDoS attacks sourced from hardware they sold?

How about auto makers being sued in every accident? Sure the driver was drunk but the car shouldn'ta hit that school bus anyway, right?

Sure, why not. In America, you can sue anyone. All you need is a lawyer willing to argue your case, a judge willing to allow it to proceed to trial and a jury willing to rule in your favor.
