Ask HN: Weekly team social hour ideas (remote)

We're all remote and planning to have a social hour once a week or once every two weeks. Previously we did a life review where people had to walk through some of the events in the life. This was fun.

Any other ideas? No, we are not allowed to spend money on this. Themes/ideas for a recurring social hour would be great. Thanks.

please don't! I hate it and most of my colleagues hate these too as these are things that are forced onto us. Putting up a happy smiling face on camera isn't fun either.

you are also likely doing this outside work hours since you are not allowed to spend money.

give them that hour free and they will be much happier.
