It works perfectly on my Pixel phone running Android 12. I provide the information for my local DNS server via DHCP and my phone uses the local DNS server for all resolution. Obviously some people are having an issue so there is likely a bug under certain circumstances but the headline gives the impression that local DNS resolution doesn't work on Android 12 period.
