We should compare both.
It is clear that getting immunity for naive person by vaccination is much more preferable. But in case when one has been already infected, there is no reason to admit that he has very little to gain by additional vaccination.
In any case, it is inevitable that most people will get covid – vaccinated or not. And ultimately it is only about risk reduction not elimination. We will need to evaluate that a vaccinated person with subsequent infection has considerable immunity.
