Nice read, but doesn't say anything about business jargon.

Came here to say this. Was greatly disappointed by the lack of jargon and etymology.

Yeah, I was looking forward to 1500-ish versions of "circle back" "reach out" "leverage" "long pole in tent", etc...

Given the focus on the East India Company (chartered by Queen Elizabeth I on December 31, 1600), shouldn't this be "seventeenth-century"?
