A recent study showed about 25% of the Dutch youth doesn’t see any perspective out of the lockdowns and is depressed with a shockingly large amount of them seriously thinking about suicide.

I think cnbc used some out of date numbers.

This was reported in the Dutch mainstream press, I think it was based on this report (in Dutch):

It’s probably based on this statistic:

  Do you wish you were dead or that you would go to sleep and never wake up?
  Almost always            1.5%
  Most of the time         2.9%
  Sometimes                7.3%
  Incidentally            13.9%
  Never                   74.9%
