Killed as in the post being automatically blocked if you are a new user...

Read and follow the guidelines, which include what to submit, what not to submit, and

> "Please don't post on HN to ask or tell us something. Send it to hn@ycombinator.com."

Be a real person, submit links to web sites that are not your own, participate in comments, etc.

Watch out for signifiers that your post is spammy.
