Makes sense that periods of rapid change in markets drive business to consulting groups (which increases hiring requirements and salaries).

E.g. my business revenues fell off a cliff. Pls help fix. Or, my business demand is skyrocketing. Pls help optimize.

Makes sense. I think another scenario would be the current changing environment due to COVID. Companies have to navigate a hybrid working environment, new business landscape (move biz online or wait it out, supply chain issues, renumeration, tax issues). All of these could lead to hiring consultants to help them figure these things out
