How did you get started in this?

Did an account on Upwork (was oDesk when I started) and just for giggles and luls I did bunch of their online tests. managed to be in top 1% in those tests and lo&behold I started to get invites to projects. Got clients, saw I can earn more this way and half a year later I was going full freelancer. Never looked back
