is this still a frustration having to go into workspaces one by one or is there a solution for it?

I think you can just add workspaces on Slack app. Is that what you want or you are looking for a simpler and quicker solution than this?

I'm talking about the need to open each workspace individually to see whether there are any messages relevant to you
