I got into AI art at the start of 2020 and I wanted to build something with it. But I couldn't decide what to do.
Fast forward to just a few months ago the VQGAN+CLIP method of generating images blew up. It had far more compelling results compared to previous methods.
I decided to use VQGAN+CLIP to make something a bit more fun and accessible relative to a collab notebook. The result is Art by an AI.
It's a daily prompt competition. You can submit your own prompts and vote on other people's submissions.
Then, at 12:00 UTC each day, the top 10 prompts are used to generate art. There's an option to buy prints of the art pieces - but only until the next batch is generated. After that they disappear.
